  1. Hi there, we’re Articano Ltd, Toronto Street, Toronto, Ontario Canada (“Articano”) and welcome to our privacy policy which also applies to our Affiliate Companies. This policy sets out how we handle your personal information if you’re an Articano user or visitor to our Sites.
  2. When we say ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘Articano’ it’s because that’s who we are and we own and run the Sites.
  3. If we say ‘policy’ we’re talking about this privacy policy. If we say user terms we’re talking about the rules for using each of the Sites. The rules vary by product and each product makes them separately available and seeks consent to them separately to this policy.
  4. We collect certain personal information about visitors and users of our Sites.
  5. The most common types of information we collect include things like: user-names, member names, email addresses, IP addresses, other contact details, survey responses, blogs, photos, payment information such as payment agent details, transactional details, tax information, support queries, forum comments (if applicable), content you direct us to make available on our Sites (such as item descriptions), your actions on our Sites (including any selections or inputs into items) and web and email analytics data. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Who do we share your data with?

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data?

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights do you have over your data?

You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Articano takes the necessary and sufficient organizational and technical measures to protect the user’s personal information from unauthorized or accidental access, destruction, modification, blocking, copying, distribution, as well as from other illegal actions of third parties with it.

Where your data is sent?

Using of this website does not require the provision of any personal data. Any personal information, such as name, surname or contact information, is posted by the user solely at their own request. We do not check the accuracy of the entered data, with the exception of access to the specified phone number, if a member of the Articano wishes to indicate their contacts in the professional Catalog of Masters. All information provided by Articano members is stored and processed in accordance with the requirements of the Canadian Provincial Law “On Personal Data”. Information about the participants of the Articano Art Club is stored on the Known servers data center (USA).

The third-party Google Metric and Google Analytics statistics systems are used to collect, store and classify anonymized data about site visits. Anonymous statistics are collected in order to analyze and improve the usability of the site.

 

Articano reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy. When making changes in the current edition, the date of the last update is indicated. The new version of the Policy comes into force from the moment it is posted, unless otherwise provided by the new version of the Policy.
